2017 PD WCH STD - Prize Presentation

14th Prague Open Dance Festival set the stage for 2017 WDSF Professional Division World Championship Standard in historcal Lucerna Palace in Prague on Saturday 16th. 

39 couples from 18 nations had come to compete for the title in round 1 in the afternoon. 

In connection with the official opening ceremny of the PD World Championship Standard at the beginning of the evening session, the 10th Anniversary Ceremony was held.

PD Director Verena Sulek inaugurated the ceremony introducing the former World Champions of WDSF Professional Division since 2007. A very nice video showed these couples in their major competitions.

And the winner of 2017 PD World Championship Standard had to be found this night.

The audience saw 24 couples in the evening session in the quarter final rounds. After the semi-final late night, 6 couples had been qualified in the early morning of Sunday 17th. And the results are ...

1st place: Benedetto Ferruggia - Claudia Koehler / Germany 

2nd place: Donatas Vezelis - Lina Chatkeviciute / Lithuania

3rd place: Bjorn Bitsch - Ashli Williamson / Denmark

4th place: Andrzej Sadecki - Karina Nawrot / Poland

5th place: Andrey Motyl - Ekaterina Kim / Russian Federation

6th place: Isaia Berardi - Cinzia Birarelli / Italy
