Three Days of DanceSport Excellence: Highlights from the Mallorca Dance Festival 2025

The Mallorca Dance Festival 2025 transformed Calvià into the beating heart of DanceSport over three exhilarating days of competition. From March 28 to 30, the coastal town welcomed more than 1,000 athletes from across Europe and beyond, competing in over 30 events across all age groups and disciplines. With over 2,000 spectators filling the venue across the weekend, the energy was vibrant and the performances electric for the joy of the attendees.
Held in one of Spain’s most scenic locations, the festival celebrated artistry, athleticism, and emotion, and featured several WDSF European Championship titles. From breathtaking solos to thrilling finals in both Latin and Standard, the event offered a full spectrum of DanceSport at its finest.
The Weekend's Showpieces: European Championships Latin & Standard Adult
At the heart of the Mallorca Dance Festival 2025 were two spectacular showdowns: the 2025 WDSF European Championship Latin Adult and the 2025 WDSF European Championship Standard Adult, the flagship events of the weekend. A weekend of Solo Triumphs: European Championship Solo Latin Female
The Solo Latin discipline continues to captivate new audiences and athletes alike, offering a powerful platform for individual expression and technical artistry. With no partner to rely on, each competitor must command the floor alone—channeling musicality, emotion, and presence in a format that’s rapidly gaining popularity across all age divisions.
This year’s European Championships in Calvià confirmed the rising status of Solo Latin within the DanceSport family. And Sunday’s finals brought not only world-class performances, but also a remarkable Italian sweep, with athletes from Italy winning all three European titles in the Youth, Junior II, and Adult divisions.
In the Adult category, Rosa Granato achieved a major milestone in her career by claiming the European title. After taking home two bronze medals last year—at both the European and World Championships—this victory marks a significant leap forward for the talented Italian.
In the Youth division, Maddalena Cadorin successfully defended her title from last year, adding yet another prestigious win to a résumé that already includes a World Championship title. Her consistency and dominance on the floor continue to impress judges and fans alike.
And in Junior II, rising star Mariagrazia Manico crowned her steady progression with gold. After earning silver at last year’s European Championship and winning the World Championship, she now completes the full set—and will no doubt look to defend her world title later this year.
