WDSF Takes Immediate Precautionary Action to Safeguard Competition Integrity
The World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has taken immediate precautionary measures in connection with an ongoing WDSF competition, following the receipt of information indicating a potential integrity concern related to adjudication.
As part of these measures, WDSF has imposed a temporary suspension of a licensed adjudicator’s activities and the exercise of their adjudicator license, with immediate effect.
In addition, and solely as a precautionary measure to ensure the integrity of the competition, an adjudicator was removed from the panel of the WDSF International Open event. This action was taken to eliminate any potential risk and to maintain full confidence in the adjudication process. This measure does not imply any finding of wrongdoing in relation to the adjudicator concerned.
All actions have been taken promptly and on a precautionary basis, in order to protect the integrity, fairness, and credibility of WDSF competitions. These measures do not constitute disciplinary sanctions, nor do they imply any conclusion regarding the facts or any determination of responsibility.
A formal review process has been initiated, during which all relevant facts will be carefully examined. The adjudicator concerned will be given full opportunity to provide their explanation in accordance with WDSF regulations and principles of due process.
WDSF remains firmly committed to upholding the highest standards of integrity and transparency in all its competitions and activities. Appropriate further action will be taken as necessary upon completion of the review process.
