Hong Kong Gets Ready 20/05/2014

GrandSlam Hong Kong Press Conference The organiser of the second leg of the WDSF GrandSlam Series 2014, the Hong Kong DanceSport Association (HKDSA), held a press conference at the Kowloon Shangri-La hotel yesterday.

HKDSA emphasised that both # 1-ranked couples as well as 15 other couples each out of the top 20 in the WDSF World Rankings for Latin and Standard will dance in Hong Kong on 31 May and 1 June.

More than 130 couples from 30 different countries are expected to compete.

After Hong Kong dancers were very successful at the Asian Indoor Games 2013 in Incheon, KOR, hopes are high that local couples will excel in GrandSlam competition too. 

As in last year's edition, Hong Kong public broadcaster TVB will produce the international TV signal on the GrandSlam. An announcement is to be made shortly as to where and when it will be available for viewing. In any case, a WDSF Communications team will also be on location. From 29 May, "nearly real-time" coverage on the event will become available on the "Live from Hong Kong" blog. RSVP here!
