WDSF DanceSport community is celebrating the restart of competitions 31/08/2021

2021 WDSF World Championships Latin WDSF DanceSport community is celebrating the restart of international DanceSport competitions in The Netherlands. On 28th and 29th of August the Dutch National DanceSport Federation, NADB, organised the 2021 WDSF World Championships in both the Senior 1 Latin and Senior 2 Standard categories. Couples from all over the world travelled to Rotterdam, Netherlands to compete in these official WDSF title events. After a break of more than 1,5 years all couples were eager to compete and give their best performances. In the end, after 5 rounds it were Aleksander Jokic and Maria Lyngstad from Norway who were crowned as the winners of the 2021 WDSF World Championship Senior 1 Latin, in which 61 couples from 20 countries took part. Alexandr Gruzdev and Liudmila Esina (RUS) took the second place and Erik Heyden and Julia Luckow (GER) ended on third position.

2021 WDSF World Championships Standard In the 2021 WDSF World Championship Senior 2 Standard 112 couples from 18 different countries took part. After dancing 6 rounds Gatis Simsons and Julija Simsone from Latvia took the gold medals. Gert Faustmann and Alexandra Kley (GER) and Manuele Marinozzi and Sara Romagnoli (ITA) took the second and third positions.

In the weekend of 15, 16 and 17 October 2021, Rotterdam again will be the host city for the 2021 WDSF World Championships in Under 21 Standard, Senior 1 Standard and Senior 2 Latin.
