In Memoriam: Marat Yarullin
It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of Marat Yarullin (Марат Яруллин), a deeply respected and cherished member of the DanceSport family. A native of Russia and a long-time resident of Spain, he devoted his life to DanceSport, inspiring countless dancers, officials, and colleagues with his passion, dedication, and kindness.
Throughout his remarkable career, Marat adjudicated 33 WDSF events between 2014 and 2024. From his first assignment at the WDSF Open Cambrils in April 2014 to his most recent appearance at the WDSF Open & International Open in Ruse in November 2024, he approached every event with professionalism, fairness, and warmth.
Marat will be remembered not only for his expertise but for his generosity, integrity, and the quiet inspiration he offered to everyone around him. He leaves behind a legacy of excellence, humanity, and friendship that will continue to resonate within the DanceSport community.
His passing leaves a profound void, but his memory will live on in every step danced, every fair decision made, and every moment shared on the floor.
