DanceComp 2025 Returns to Dublin with Growing International Presence

Dublin´s DanceComp 2025 took place on 15 and 16 November at the Collinstown Sports Complex in the Irish capital, bringing together athletes, officials and spectators for a weekend of international WDSF competitions.

Organised by Wojtek Potaszkin Dance Academy, the event represented the organisers’ third WDSF competition hosted in Ireland. Since its introduction, DanceComp has shown steady development, becoming a regular feature within the Irish DanceSport calendar and gradually increasing its international reach.

The 2025 edition recorded close to 500 entries across national and WDSF categories. The organisers reported an average attendance of more than 200 spectators per day, contributing to a supportive and engaged atmosphere throughout the weekend.

Athletes from over 15 countries were present, including several World and European Champions. Their participation, alongside dancers from Ireland and neighbouring nations, ensured a diverse field and a broad representation of competitive standards across categories.

This year also marked twelve years of DanceComp at national level, reflecting the continuity of the project and its role in providing competitive opportunities for dancers within Ireland.

The organisers expressed their appreciation to all participants, officials, volunteers and partners who contributed to the delivery of the event.
