Braunschweig Hosts the 2025 WDSF World Championship Formation Standard

Braunschweig, Germany – 6th December 2025. At the iconic Volkswagen Halle, one of the most prestigious stages in international Formation DanceSport, the World Championship Formation Standard 2025 brought together top teams from across Europe and Asia for an unforgettable display of teamwork, discipline, and choreography.

This year’s championship united around 200 athletes in 10 Formation teams, representing 9 countries, from Austria and Germany to Mongolia.

More than 2,000 spectators filled the Volkswagen Halle, creating a dynamic and electric atmosphere befitting a World Championship.

The WDSF World Championship Formation Standard Adult delivered an exceptional display of precision, coordination, and artistry, as the 10 participating teams showcased intricate choreography and flawless teamwork. The audience at Volkswagen Halle was thoroughly engaged, responding with enthusiastic applause to every synchronized movement and dramatic formation change. From powerful opening routines to the thrilling finale, the competition highlighted the skill, dedication, and international calibre of each team, making it a truly memorable highlight of the World Championship.

The World Championship is recognized as one of the region’s most prominent sports and cultural events, drawing strong media coverage and reinforcing the local commitment to developing and promoting DanceSport.

Television coverage by NDR further highlighted the event’s significance inside the country, bringing the competition to a wide national audience and solidifying its cultural impact in the region.

Between more names, the event was honoured by the expected attendance of Dr. Tim Rausche, President of theGerman DanceSport Federation (DTV), Wolfgang Rolf, President of the Lower Saxony DanceSport Federation (NTV) and Anja Kapphammel, Mayor of the City of Braunschweig. The event continues to grow in prestige, reinforcing Braunschweig’s long-standing reputation as a centre of excellence in Formation Dancing.
