Profile

Combining her peculiar flavour, dynamic performance, and distinguished resume,  Vee's influence is recognized from the streets to the stage. Hailing from Cape Town, South Africa, her professional career took off when she returned from her dance studies in New York in 2009. Also known as, “Bgirl  Vee”, she has performed with various artists, featured and choreographed for tv commercials, as well as international movies. Her knowledge and credibility in Hip Hop have taken her to many places but her New York experience has given her the historical knowledge and movement foundation of many urban dance styles pertaining to Hip Hop culture. She was also able to train with many dance originators during her time in New York and to this day she continues to stay educated about breaking and the culture.

 

Vee is the Founder of The Rhythm Factory Dance School and has been an instrumental teacher for the past 6 years, helping establish their Hip Hop performances and competitions. She is passionate about helping people in fundamentals and creativity to fit for every unique human being according to his or her personality. She and her team launched The Breaking Factory in March 2021, a space for upcoming dancers to learn and grow in Breaking. In 2018. The Rhythm Factory alongside the Mustard seed Project hosted a community workshop with the Multiple World Champ in Breaking, Bboy Lilou.

 

Vee was one of 2 bgirls who represented South Africa at Battle Of the Year France in 2012 and she also had the opportunity to compete at the first Red Bull Bc One bgirl battle in 2019. Her first love for dance is Breaking and she continues to stay connected to the culture through teaching, supporting community jams and sessions.

 

She has adjudicated for the Global Dance Supreme Championships, Hip Hop International, TDA Hip Hop Eistedford, Red Bull Bc One, Hip Hop Unite, Solo Expressions and many Local Jams. She has worked with Virgin Active South Africa and developed her own exclusive Dance Fitness Program called Just Dance and it launched nationally and Internationally.
