Timothy Fok, the President of the Hong Kong Sports Federation & Olympic Committee and as such the maximum authority in matters related to sports behind the Secretary of Home Affairs, held the opening speech during a brief ceremony that preceded the GrandSlam Latin quarterfinal.
He made mention of the immense popularity that DanceSport enjoys across Asia and its successful participation in the multi-sport games that are held under the auspices of the Olympic Council of Asia. As a member of the International Olympic Committee, Mr Fok will be among those voting on any new sport getting added to the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Programme. All the more imortant that tonight's GrandSlam will again live up to its potential, with stunning performances and plenty of drama.
