The first ever "Adjudicators' Debrief" is in progress at the Vienna Room of the hotel NH Vienna Airport in Vienna-Schwechat, AUT. History is (possibly) being made as we publish this post.
So far, five of the judges making the decisive calls as to who finished where in last night's final of the 2017 World Latin have sat down with the debriefer for what is labelled "a casual chat between experts" already. There are a few more to go over the coming hours!
The chair of the Ajudicators' Commission, Cor van der Stroet, has assumed the challenging role of head debriefer. He is leading his colleagues through the review of some of the solo dances and a discussion of all aspects of assessing a high-level performance in an artistic sport.
