It has filtered back to us that our post "Whose Championship Will It Be?" is stirring up controversy along the lines of another news item we published back in 2014. Three years later: same place, similar remarks. "How could you?," we are asked. Again!
We considered insinuations that our reporting could be biased totally unacceptable then and we continue to do so now. The only thing that has changed over the past three years is that anyone, who considers that we show any favouritism in what we write or depict in our imagery, can file a complaint against what goes up here as well as in the social media.
All he or she needs to do is follow the procedure that is outlined in our editorial policy documents. The Media Relations Code and the Social Media Rules haven been adopted by the 2016 General Meeting in Rome, ITA, and they are the documents guiding us in our work. And you in your complaints!
The first round of the 2017 World Latin is in progress. In the end, only 87 couples of the 90 which had entered are dancing it. Among them are all the favourites we have mentioned in the post plus several others, of whom we know that they could well make the final too.
