Athletes of the European Cup Latin and European Championship Standard took a bus ride from the hotel to the competition venue in Salaspils. An about 45-minute ride was relatively quiet and calm as most of the athletes just listened to the music with their earphones, had their eyes on their mobile phones, or took a nap.
A mix of different languages was heard when the athletes were talking to each other. The atmosphere inside the bus was very international with athletes representing more than 30 countries.
And yet, they all seemed like a one big happy family.
