The World DanceSport Federation will extend the validity of the current World Ranking Lists, which were issued on 1 January 2012, through the end of March 2012.
As a consequence, all current lists will remain unchanged until 31 March 2012, with everything that this implies for the athletes and/or the organisers.
After new regulations for the conduct of World Ranking Tournaments have come into effect on 1 January 2012, the administrators refrain from publishing updates to the World Ranking Lists until 1 April 2012. Under the lead of Petr Odstrcil, they will instead work on improving the standards and procedures for the maintenance of the ranking lists from that date.
Athletes, officials and organisers are encouraged to study the new Ranking Regulations.
Particularly the IDSF Ranking Points Schedule has undergone substantial change.
Ranking Regulations 2012 Onwards
Furthermore, and also from the beginning of 2012, the World Ranking Lists will no longer be accessible through the dedicated website of the WDSF Results and Licensing System. The lists can only be viewed at worlddancesport.org.
