Barcelona Meeting 22/01/2015

Presidium Meeting The WDSF Presidium held its first meeting of the year over the past weekend in Barcelona.

All Associate Members and the International Paralaympic Committee Wheelchair DanceSport were present and reported on their activities during the past year.

The outcome of the 2020 Vision working group meeting that preceded the one of the Presidium was discussed at great length. WDSF adviser Jean-Laurent Bourquin informed about the impact of the adoption of the 2020 Agenda by the Extraordinary IOC Session in Monaco in December 2015.

Another item of great importance addressed by the Presidium was the new WDSF Code of Ethics. Its implementation will require changes to the WDSF Statutes and to the Code of the Disiciplinary Council. An Ethics Commission will also need to be installed. All of this will be presented as a Motion to the 2015 General Meeting this June.

In the near future WDSF Communications will inform about the Code of Ethics and some of the other items discussed in Barcelona through this website. Stay tuned!
