Beyond the sporting battles on the floor, the opening day also delivered the elegance and glamour for which Blackpool is renowned. Dreamlike hairstyles, spectacular gowns and sharply tailored suits filled the halls, made even more striking by the newly arranged red carpet area, where athletes had the opportunity to step into the spotlight and capture the moment in photographs, a fitting tribute to the artistry and prestige of the festival.

Not only did the Empress Ballroom witness the first unforgettable dances of the festival, but it was not the only floor alive with movement throughout the day. The Spanish Hall also played an essential role, serving as a dedicated training space where athletes and coaches fine-tuned their routines, warmed up, and prepared for competition, ensuring that every performance on the main stage was delivered with confidence and precision.
