The atmosphere at the event was electric throughout the weekend and the level of Breaking over the two days of competition was outstanding. In total, 91 b-boys and 52 b-girls from 16 countries participated at the Championship.

Breaking made its second appearance in the FIBA 3X3 World Tour after it had premiered in last year's Lausanne Master. Eight b-boys from four Asian countries were invited by WDSF to dance in the battles, which were all contested during breaks in the games' schedule on the 3x3 court set up at a downtown Utsunomyia location.
B-Boy GEN ROC of "GOOD FOOT" won the International 1vs1 Breaking Battle Utsunomyia convincingly - and in an attire that was befitting of the broadcast hour (04:35 UTC/GMT) in some parts of the world.
