Novi Sad, Serbia, to Host the 2026 WDSF European Championships in Stage and Disco Dance
The World DanceSport Federation (WDSF), in collaboration with the DanceSport Federation of Serbia, is pleased to announce that Novi Sad, Serbia, will host the 2026 European Championships in Stage and Disco Dance, taking place from 13 to 17 May 2026 at the SPENS / Sports and Business Center Vojvodina.
The championships are expected to welcome more than 1,500 athletes from across Europe, making it one of the largest and most diverse DanceSport events on the continent. Including coaches, supporters, and officials, the total number of visitors is estimated at around 2,400, generating a potential economic impact of approximately 2.9€ million for Novi Sad through direct spending and organisational activities.
Over five days of competition, Europe’s leading dancers, from rising youth talents to established adult performers, will compete across multiple disciplines that blend athleticism, artistry, and musical expression. Events will include Solo, Duo, Small Team, Large Team, and Mega Team formats, showcasing DanceSport’s competitive spectrum.

Each discipline represents a unique fusion of sport and performance, demanding precision, endurance, creativity, and teamwork at the highest level.
The event is supported by the City of Novi Sad, highlighting Serbia’s growing role as a host of major international sporting and cultural events, and reinforcing DanceSport’s expanding visibility across Europe.

The European Championships in Novi Sad mark an important milestone for DanceSport in the country, bringing a major continental event to Serbia and reinforcing the country’s growing role within the European and international DanceSport landscape.
