Recap of Day 1: 2024 WDSF World Championship Breaking Youth in Wuxi, China

The inaugural WDSF World Championship Breaking Youth kicked off with a thrilling Day 1 in Taihu Square, Wuxi, People's Republic of China, marking a new chapter for the Breaking discipline. This prestigious event, held the 28th and 29th of September 2024, has gathered more than 200 talented B-Boys and B-Girls from 38 countries, all vying for the title of World Champion.

Competition Rounds Begin

Day 1 was packed with intense battles across several rounds of competition. In the Pre-Selection phase, four breakers at a time faced off in two circles set on stage, each pushing their limits to secure a spot in the next round across over 50 exhilarating battles. The atmosphere was electric as B-Boys fought their way through the Top 64 Pre-Qualifier, followed by a fierce Top 32 round, just like the B-Girls.

Every round was a showcase of raw talent, creativity, and sheer determination from these young athletes, all determined to make their mark on the world stage. By the end of the day, 16 B-Girls and 16 B-Boys advanced to the final rounds, setting the stage for an exhilarating Day 2. As the sun set and the city’s skyline bathed the surroundings in vibrant colors, the atmosphere became truly magical. These finalists will compete for the coveted title of WDSF World Youth Breaking Champion tomorrow, 29 September 2024:
