Advancing Women’s Leadership: Anastasia Glazunova Completes IWGA Development Programme
The World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) is pleased to share that Anastasia Glazunova, WDSF Presidium Member as Chair of the Athletes Commission, has successfully graduated from the IWGA Women Lead Sports Programme 2025. The initiative, launched by the International World Games Association (IWGA)and delivered in cooperation with Women Lead Sports, aims to strengthen female leadership across international sport.
The programme is focused on equipping participants with a unique blend of practical tactics and expert-led theory, a combination that has already demonstrated its effectiveness in fostering meaningful leadership development within sport organisations.
A Commitment to Stronger Athlete Representation
Anastasia’s participation reflects the WDSF’s ongoing commitment to empowering athlete voices and promoting gender balance across all levels of governance. In her role as Chair of the Athletes Commission, she has been a consistent advocate for transparency, inclusivity, and athlete-centred decision-making. Her involvement in the IWGA Women Lead Sports Programme further strengthens this work, providing new tools and perspectives to support the global DanceSport community.

Supporting the Future of Women’s Leadership in Sport
The IWGA has emphasised that the programme represents an important step towards enhancing the representation of women in sport governance. Participants have been invited to share feedback through an anonymous survey, contributing to the evaluation and potential expansion of future editions.
Graduates from the 2025 cohort and the previous year have also been encouraged to remain connected through an alumni network designed to facilitate collaboration, mentorship, and knowledge exchange among women leaders across international sport.
