WDSF Releases Official Event Guide for the 2026 Blackpool DanceSport Festival

The World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has officially published the Event Guide for the 2026 DanceSport Festival in Blackpool, providing athletes, officials, and spectators with a complete overview of what awaits at one of the most significant gatherings on the international DanceSport calendar.

Taking place from 25 to 29 March 2026, the festival will once again be held at Blackpool’s historic Winter Gardens, with competitions running simultaneously in both the Empress Ballroom and the Spanish Hall.

The newly released guide highlights an expanded programme for this edition, introducing female Solo events, Juvenile and Junior categories, and the WDSF DanceSport Festival Championships in both Latin and Standard for Junior II, Youth, and Under-21 dancers. A full overview of the competition schedule is provided, featuring GrandSlams, World Challenge Cups, Super Grand Prix events, and a wide range of WDSF Open competitions.

The document offers detailed information on the venues, visa and entry requirements, recommended accommodation, and transport options, including arrival via Manchester and Liverpool airports. The official hotel, the Holiday Inn Blackpool, will also operate as one of the two accreditation centres, facilitating the check-in process for athletes and accredited personnel.

The guide also includes essential details on ticketing, local transportation, dining options, and emergency contacts, ensuring participants and visitors are well prepared throughout their stay.

For those unable to attend in person, the festival will be broadcast live through the official WDSF channels, enabling audiences worldwide to follow each day of competition.
