Athletes’ Commission Call for Elections for the Americas, Africa and Oceania Representatives

The WDSF Athletes’ Commission (“AC”) hereby announces the call for elections for the positions of the Americas, Africa and Oceania Representatives.
The WDSF Athletes’ Commission is a permanent commission of the WDSF Presidium that consists of athletes who are elected solely by other WDSF active athletes. The AC represents the interests of the athletes, advises the Presidium on matters that are relevant to the athletes, and works to improve communication between the Presidium and the athletes.
In accordance with the WDSF Presidium Operating Policy for the Athletes’ Commission, eligible athletes must:
- be 18 years of age or older at the time of the election,
- hold a valid and subsisting WDSF licence,
- have active status,
- have competed at least once in the past calendar year,
- genuinely reside in the region for which they are applying (Americas, Africa or Oceania).
Eligible athletes may voluntarily submit their candidacy or be nominated.
Any athlete wishing to stand for election must submit their candidacy together with a resume and a statement of reasons for candidacy to the following e-mail address by 9 December 2025, 18:00 CET: [email protected].
Following submission to the AC, each candidate will need to be approved and after approval will be added to the list as an eligible candidate.
The list of eligible candidates will be published on the WDSF website on 26 December 2025, one (1) month prior to the first day of voting.
The elections will be conducted online between 26 – 30 January 2026. Further instructions on the voting procedure will be provided in due course.
