WDSF Releases Official Event Guide for the 2026 Annual General Meeting

The World DanceSport Federation (WDSF) has officially published the Event Guide for the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM), providing National Member Bodies, delegates, officials, and invited guests with a complete overview of the federation’s most significant governance event of the year.

You can access the Event Guide by clicking here.

Scheduled to take place from 12 to 14 June 2026, the meetings will be hosted in the historic city of Rome, Italy, at the Hilton Rome Airport Hotel. Organised in close collaboration with the local host federation, Federazione Italiana DanzaSportiva e Sport Musicali (FIDESM), the multi-day event will bring the global DanceSport community together to take pivotal strategic decisions shaping the future of the sport.

The newly released guide outlines a comprehensive institutional schedule. Proceedings will commence on Friday 12 June with the reception of delegates, followed by the highly anticipated WDSF Open Forum on Saturday 13 June, culminating in the official WDSF AGM 2026 on Sunday 14 June, with major sessions held in the hotel's Great Hall of the Caesars. Alongside the official sessions, the document outlines key networking and hospitality events.

The document offers thorough logistical details to ensure a seamless experience for all participants. Due to the official venue's direct connection to Leonardo da Vinci International Airport, international attendees can access accommodation effortlessly. The delegate guide also details specific policies regarding Visa invitation letters, official delegation size limits, and the case-by-case accreditation criteria.

Shawn Tay, WDSF President, emphasised the strategic importance of the upcoming governance meetings:

“Our AGM is the most important occasion in the WDSF governance year. It is the moment when we come together not simply to review our work, but to take decisions that shape the direction of our Federation and influence the opportunities available to our athletes and National Member Bodies. Trust is earned through consistency, transparency, and decisions made with the broader interests of the sport in mind.”

The publication of the Event Guide signals the formal countdown to the 2026 Annual General Meeting, establishing a collaborative framework for delegates to engage in purposeful discussions that reinforce transparency and structural excellence across the global DanceSport ecosystem.
