Meet the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games Athletes: How France’s B-Girl Queen Lolita Turned Studio Inspiration and Family Backing into an Olympic Journey

For French Lolita Dauphin (B-Girl Queen Lolita), the path to competitive Breaking didn’t start in a traditional street cipher. Her first introduction to movement began in the nursery school playground, learning simple dance routines alongside a classmate during break time.

That early spark eventually led her into formal dance classes, but her trajectory changed completely in 2020. While training at her dance school, she began observing older dancers practicing Breaking routines, freezes, and dynamic moves in the studio. Captivated by the athletic demands and creative freedom of the discipline, she decided to make the switch herself.

From Playground Steps to Studio Dedication

Lolita’s story is rooted in simple curiosity. Long before setting her targets on international competitions, dance was just a fun activity shared with friends at school. Watching the older students execute complex Breaking figures was the catalyst that pushed her to take the sport seriously.

“I started dancing back in nursery school during recreation with a friend who taught me a choreography. I picked up Breaking in 2020, quite a bit later, because I saw older students at my dance school training and performing figures, and it gave me so much desire to try it. Since then, I’ve loved it and kept going.”

Consistency on the Cypher: Staying Driven Through Hard Training

Like many dedicated young athletes, maintaining consistency hasn't always been easy. For B-Girl Queen Lolita, the main test has been staying focused during summer training blocks when fatigue sets in and keeping up motivation requires extra effort.

Relying on her teachers, her family, and her own determination helped her stay on track throughout those intense training periods:

“For me, the hardest obstacle has been staying motivated and not giving up during the summer, despite the fatigue and difficult moments. What allowed me to overcome this trial was the support of my teachers and family, but also my own mindset and my determination to keep going to reach my goals.”

That steady work ethic gave her a straightforward approach to her progression:

“The most important lesson Breaking has taught me is never to give up. With hard work, perseverance, and determination, you can go all the way to the end of your dreams.”

Backed by Le Séraphin: The Road to Dakar 2026

Lolita’s rise is supported by a strong core team. Behind her progress are her mother, her father, and her entire family, alongside her coaches Youssef and Emmanuel, who have stood by her side throughout her preparation for the Youth Olympic Games (YOG). Her crew, Le Séraphin, has also been a continuous source of strength and support since the beginning of her journey.

Participating in the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games represents an immense sense of pride for the French athlete. Having already represented France on international stages, including the 2026 WDSF World Breaking DanceSport Festival, with eyes set on returning Breaking to the Olympic programme for Brisbane 2032, her mindset remains focused on authenticity, showcasing her level, and delivering a performance she can be proud of:

“Participating in the Youth Olympic Games is an immense pride and a very important experience for me. I want to use this experience to represent France, show my level, share my style, and showcase my passion for Breaking. My objective is to give the absolute best of myself and be proud of who I am when I step out of a Battle, knowing my teachers, my parents, and I are proud of me, regardless of the final result.”
