Day One

2015 GrandSlam Standard © Roland It was a fantastic first day at the 2015 GrandSlam Helsinki yesterday. The competition in Standard was as fiercely fought as everybody had expected and the final proved to be a showcase for what modern Standard dancing has a evolved to.

After a nearly three-months break since last year's GrandSlam Final in Shanghai, CHN, the top contenders faced off for the first time in 2015. Congratulations must go to all finalists: they kept the sell-out crowd in hall 4 of the Messukeskus on their feet as they whisked around the floor in three solo and two group dances.
