Meanwhile in Tokyo ...

Tokyo Media Event © Eichert With the traditional Tokyo Open starting tomorrow, the WDSF National Member Body for Japan, the Japanese DanceSport Federation (JDSF), seized the moment to promote DanceSport to the Japanese Olympic Committee and to the media. Under the leadership of its President Atsushi Yamada, JDSF staged a press conference earlier today at the premises of the Japanese Olympic Committee (JOC), bringing WDSF brass and dancers to address JOC officials and media representatives. The live demonstrations and the video presentations were much acclaimed by the people in attendance. 50 members of the written press and six TV channels were among them.

The World DanceSport Federation was represented by three members of the Presidium: WDSF President Carlos Freitag, Vice-President Michael Eichert and Presidium Member Keiji Ukai, one of the masterminds of today's presentation of DanceSport.
