The two World Opens held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium concluded a few hours ago in the Japanese capital. The results are available from the Result Calendar (second in the column to the right). Some of the couples that many had expected to be here in Helsinki for the GrandSlams gave their preference to competing in the land of sushi ... ;-)
The traditional Tokyo Open took once more place on the second weekend in March, coinciding with the tragic 11 March 2011 when an earthquake and tsunami caused enormous devastation and grief in Japan.
The Tokyo Open followed right after the Japanese DanceSport Federation had staged a huge press conference at the headquarters of the Japanese Olympic Committee on Friday 6 March. Read up on it here!
