Overall participation was slightly lower than in Tuesday's Super GrandPrix Standard, but the level of dancing was just as high.
In the end, only 47 couples entered and even the star couples had to dance from round one. By the time their numbers were reduced to the six finalists, one expected another last round that would sweep the audience off their seats. Just as the one we experienced with the GrandPrix Standard on Tuesday. That it wasn't quite the same in the end may well be because of fewer spectators being present - or those who were may have lacked the enthusiasm to cheer with maximum decibels.
The dancing, however, was every bit as good as in the Standard. Deserving winners were Andrey Zaytsev and Anna Kuzminskaya, RUS, ahead of runners-up Pavel Pasechnik and Marta Arndt, GER. Marts Smolko - Tina Bazykina, LAT, were third and Vitaly Panteleev - Angelina Nechkhaeva, RUS, fourth.
