We wrote about the Dance&Sports programme in one of yesterday's posts. Dance&Sports is an initiative of the Italian DanceSport and E-Sport Federations. It aims to extend FIDS' view of an all-inclusive DanceSport to the gaming environment. Virtual dancing has long been hugely successful with console games such as JUST DANCE and others. It stands to reason that the more organised and structured it becomes the more people will take it up.
Expanding on the FIDS strategy of preparing for the case that e-sports will become Olympic anytime soon - something that seems more like every day (according to Around The Rings) - if any e-sport athletes should compete in Paris 2020, why couldn't they be e-dancers? At least they move!
