Our colleague Reinhard Egli has just provided us with the first batch of photographs he took during the early rounds of the GrandSlam Standard. We have added them to the Photo Gallery above, where they round off the holistic view that the Italian Federation takes on DanceSport. The first eight photographs depict the disciplines Syncro and Breaking. Now, between the semi-final and final, we'll have ShowDance Standard and Latin. That's "Danza Sportiva!"
In his speech during the opening ceremony of the GrandSlam, WDSF Presidium Member Glenn Weiss commended the Italian Federation and declared their approach to unify dance as sport as an example to be followed by the other National Member Bodies.
