2019 WDSF World Championship Ten Dance

35 couples representing 35 countries will enter the centre stage of Gymnastics Palace of Irina Viner-Usmanova on Saturday at 11:15 local time. As many of us remember, the reigning World Champions, Konstantin Gorodilov – Dominika Bergmannova (EST) announced earlier this year that they will focus on Latin only, leaving Standard and Ten Dance at least for now. That means the Championship title will be heading to a new address, and the new World Champions will be crowned on Saturday at around 23:00 local time.

Five of the six finalists from last year have registered. The runners-up of the Worlds last year, Daniil Ulanov – Kateryna Isakovych (CYP) won the European Championship title this June, and together with the four remaining couples of last year’s final a good rematch is expected to happen. Many couples have been competing both in Standard and Latin separately in WDSF World Opens, GrandSlams or even World Championships, and reached good results in one or both disciplines.

Saturday will be pure fireworks with these gladiators, who will have four rounds, ten dances of 1,5 minutes on each round. Five changes. It takes stamina, strength and skills to maintain focus. And these 35 couples can do it!

The 2019 WDSF World Championship Ten Dance will be broadcasted live on DanceSportTotal, starting from the quarterfinal. We will inform of the exact schedule later.
