It is the last chance for the couples to earn GrandSlam ranking points in order to make it to the top 12 on the GrandSlam ranking list and to get an invitation to the glamorous GrandSlam Series Final in Shanghai in the beginning of December.
The GrandSlam ranking list has been changing event after another, as couples have been carefully planning their competition calendar in a way to maximise their performances at the most important events. The last changes to the Latin list will be made on Saturday, as soon as the results of the two-day competition have been confirmed.
The home-town heroes, Armen Tsaturyan – Svetlana Gudyno (RUS) are, again, the ones to beat. The double World Champions have the advantage of the home crowd standing behind them. The crowd, which was supporting them to their second World title here in Moscow, created an unforgettable atmosphere, which – no doubt - reflected also to the centre stage and carried all couples to outstanding performances.
254 couples have registered for the competition, out of which a respectable number of 207 are representing Russian Federation. The first round will take place already on Friday at 09:45 local time. The first three rounds will be competed on Friday and the remaining rounds on Saturday, starting at 13:15 local time.
The 2019 WDSF GrandSlam Latin Moscow will be broadcasted live on DanceSportTotal, starting from the quarterfinal. We will inform of the exact schedule later.
