Here is the first part of the 52-minute programme that WDSF television partner IEC in Sports produced on the 2010 edition: successions of perfect steps and strides, but with quite a few slips and even some falls mixed in as well!

Live from Moscow How live? The "Live from Moscow" blog on the 2011 World Standard will happen! The WDSF Communications team made up of Heidi Goetz, Helmut Roland and Ferran Castañer have booked their flights and their rooms, but they are still waiting for pertinent information from the Russian organisers regarding access to Internet and certain other parameters that will ultimately decide over the format of the coverage.

All options remain open at this point: live stream from the venue, posting of edited clips immediately after each round, and also the uploading of clips from a location other than the venue. The latter would imply considerable delays between the rounds and the posting. We will keep you informed on what it will turn out to be.

The promo reel for the blog on the 2011 WDSF World DanceSport Championship Standard conveys what will certainly be the theme for the coverage.

You mean where the most uncoordinated couple becomes the champion? Yea, artististry and entertainment are fun but it shouldn't be counted over good technique and coordination. The viennese waltz alone should not even be considered for the final...

Reading the comments here, I would appreciate to feel more respect for either one of these absolute stunning World Class Couples who have been on positions one and two for quite some time. These two couples, as well as the other in such a World Championship Final are absolutely great. May be, you like the one better than the other - but please respect the quality, the Sportsmanship, the determination and the achievements of the other!
Congratulations to all finalists, to our German Medallists and of cousre to the new World Champions!
