The General Meeting of the International World Games Association (IWGA) in Belek, TUR, elected Lukas Hinder, the WDSF First Vice-President, to the position of Treasurer.
Serving his fifth consecutive term on the IWGA Executive Board, Lukas Hinder will be the "numbers man" of an organisation that will certainly continue to gain importance in world sports.
Hinder joins the newly elected President José Perurena López, Vice President Max Bishop plus members Anna Arzhanova, Tom Dielen and Fumio Morooka on the IWGA board through 2018.
After another successful edition took place last year in Cali, COL, The World Games were among the multi-sport events singled out by the International Olympic Committee in its Agenda 2020. The relationship between the IOC and the IWGA is to be redefined over the coming years.
The next edition of The World Games will take place in Wroclaw, POL, in 2017.
It turned out to be another Latin night with magic that the spectators at the NRGI Arena in Aarhus and those watching the live stream in as far away countries as Australia or New Zealand got to enjoy on Saturday.
Between the semi-final and final, we registered more than 5,000 viewers who tuned in for an average of 20 minutes. Considering that viewing from Germany was again blocked due to restrictions imposed by the German performing rights organisation, that is not bad at all!
