The German Formation Braunschweiger TSC won the 2014 title in a tight contest over defending champions Vera Tyumen, RUS. It was only the second competition ever adjudicated with the new Judging System - the first one was the World DanceSport Games in 2013 - and the 4,000 spectators at the Volkswagen Hall as well as the TV audience thoroughly enjoyed the drama that was produced.
Braunschweig won by a margin of just over 0.5 points. Here is the final standing.

The 2014 World Championship Standard Formation is currently in progress at the Voilkswagen Hall in Braunschweig, GER. 18 formations representing 10 different countries started with the first round of the championship at 14:20.
From 20:40 (19:40 UTC/GMT) the top 12 formations will repeat their routines in the semi-final. German public broadcaster NDR will produce this stage of the competition with a live stream that is available for worldwide viewing.
The final - which starts at 23:45 - will be broadcast live on NDR. The channel is available across Europe through Astra.
