It was two years ago in Vienna, AUT, when Simone Segatori and Annettee Sudol, GER, won their first World Champion title. More than other couples who ever get to this level in their careers, they had to put their patience to a test, waiting their turm in a hierarchy that seemed to last an eternity. Fellow Germans Benedetto Ferruggia and Claudia Koehler cast their shadow on them until they decided to turn professionals. Some four years later! Then Emanuel Valeri and Tania Kehlet, DEN, became the perennial victors, while Simone and Annette continued to be cast as runners-up for a while longer.
Finally, after Vienna in November 2014, Simone and Annette embarked on their run, winning one GrandSlam after another, claiming the European title, being the dominators ... Until December last year in Vilnius, LTU, when they came in runners-up to Dmitry Zharkov and Olga Kulikova, RUS, the new and current World Champions. Tomorrow Simone and Annettee will try to get their title back. We talked to them about that earlier.
