Viennese Waltz Workshop

The German Open Championships in Stuttgart are arguably the biggest competitive event in international DanceSport. 5,000 entries in this year's contests make an impressive statement in that respect.

But the GOC is more than just a match of technique and skills, of artistry and athleticism on the parquet. It is also the perfect setting for teaching, learning and generally interacting with the aim to develop the sport and the participants' proficiency further.

Even prior to the start of the GOC, WDSF Chairmen met for their traditional Congress on Monday 15 August. After the congress, 100 people attended the WDSF Academy workshop on the development of the Viennese Waltz. The lecturers Luca Vusoletti and Tjasa Vulich made a very convincing case in favour of open choreographies for the dance ...
