Budapest Concludes the 2025 WDSF World Championship Stage Dance with Spectacular Final Day

Gyál, Budapest, Hungary – Sunday, 14 December 2025 – The 2025 WDSF World Championship Stage Dance reached its thrilling conclusion at the Gyáli Sport Hall, capping a weekend of unparalleled creativity, athleticism, and international talent. Across three days, over 2,000 athletes from 19 countries participated in a range of disciplines, attracting roughly 600 spectators per day who filled the venue with energy and enthusiasm. Day three delivered climactic ambient across Modern & Contemporary and Jazz Dance categories, bringing the championship to a spectacular close.

A Celebration of Excellence and Unity

From the opening performances of the last competition day, the atmosphere in the Arena was electric. Spectators, returning for the third consecutive day, filled the hall with enthusiasm, witnessing teams and soloists deliver the highest calibre of choreography, precision, and expressive storytelling. Across Small, Large, and Mega Team categories from Jazz and Show Dance competitions, athletes demonstrated the collective strength, musicality, and versatility that define Stage Dance at its pinnacle.

Reflecting on the championship, WDSF President Shawn Tay remarked:

"Budapest has shown how Stage Dance can blend tradition and innovation. Over these three days, athletes pushed boundaries and celebrated the artistry of DanceSport. This championship will be remembered as a milestone for creativity and teamwork."

The final day highlighted some of the most anticipated categories, with both returning champions and rising stars taking centre stage. Between the categories that were unfolded over the third and final day of the competition we can find:

WDSF World Championship Jazz Dance Large Team Adult   

The podium of the WDSF World Championship Jazz Dance Large Team Adult carried a particularly symbolic weight, as all three medalling formations marked their first-ever appearance as Adult formations within WDSF at the category. Sharing the World Championship title, neo dance company (GER) and Five SENIORI PRO TEAM 2 (SRB) delivered performances that immediately positioned them among the global elite, demonstrating a remarkable level of maturity, structural clarity and artistic confidence despite their debut status. Their shared gold reflected not only technical excellence, but also the successful positions of both teams at the adult category with the very highest competitive level.

Completing the podium, Backstage romance (DQ Croatia) – WCH (CRO) likewise made a powerful statement on the WDSF Adult stage, combining expressive intensity with cohesive ensemble work to secure a well-earned bronze medal. Just beyond the podium, Ad Astra “Push da button” (POL) and Art Stars Jazz (SWE) rounded out a strong final, contributing depth and international diversity to a category that highlighted both emerging trajectories and the future potential of Jazz Dance Large Teams on the world stage.

WDSF World Championship Jazz Dance Small Team Adult  

The podium of the WDSF World Championship Jazz Dance Small Team Adult reflected a compelling blend of bold new beginnings. Claiming the World Champions title, neo dance company (GER) delivered a standout performance in what marked their first-ever event competition as a WDSF formation, immediately announcing their arrival on the international Jazz Dance stage with clarity of structure and confident ensemble work. Sharing the top honours, Willkommen (DQ Croatia) – WCH (CRO) also celebrated a landmark moment, as this World Championship represented their debut as a WDSF formation, with a performance distinguished by expressive cohesion and artistic commitment that resonated strongly with both adjudicators and audience alike.

Completing the podium, AVOCADO Team-Jazz (POL) brought experience to the final, building on their participation at the 2025 European Championship Jazz Dance Adult in Elbląg, Poland, where they had already established themselves on the continental stage. Their bronze-medal finish in Budapest confirmed their consistency and growing presence at the highest level of international Jazz Dance.

Just outside the podium, Pusike – Some Kind of Exhibition (CRO) and Ad Astra “Freedom” (POL) rounded out a strong final, contributing further depth and competitive quality to a category that highlighted both emerging formations and proven artistic trajectories.

The podium of the WDSF World Championship Show Dance Stage Large Team Adult brought together a striking combination of milestone debuts and proven continental experience. Sharing the World Championship title, Hope (Megablast) – WCH (CRO) delivered a powerful and emotionally charged performance in what marked their first-ever competition as an Adult formation within WDSF, making their gold medal a defining statement of artistic maturity and collective strength. Joining them at the top, Ad Astra “Dyskurs Krytyczny” (POL) built on their established international profile, following their participation at the European Championship Show Dance Adult in Elbląg,  in May this year, where they had already demonstrated compositional depth and thematic clarity on the continental stage. Completing the podium, Five SENIORI PRO TEAM 1 (SRB) also celebrated a landmark moment, as the World Championship represented their debut as a WDSF Adult formation, with a performance marked by cohesion, theatrical intent and competitive composure. Just outside the podium, Impuls (POL) and In an Elevator (HUN) rounded out a strong final, contributing further artistic diversity and reinforcing the depth of quality present in the Large Team Show Dance category at World Championship level.

WDSF World Championship Show Dance Stage Solo Female Adult

The podium of the WDSF World Championship Show Dance Stage Solo Female Adult brought together athletes whose careers reflect both sustained excellence and defining breakthrough moments. Sharing the World Championship title, Patricija Krsic (CRO) delivered a performance marked by artistic clarity and emotional control, achieving the highest honour on the world stage in a category that demands both technical precision and expressive depth. Alongside her, Gereb Luca Zsuzsanna (HUN) confirmed her status as one of the most experienced and versatile performers of her generation. Her extensive WDSF record includes multiple appearances at European Championships in Modern & Contemporary Dance Adult, highlighted by a gold medal at the European Championship in Skövde in 2024, as well as a silver medal at the European Championship Show Dance Adult in Elbląg earlier this year. Her consistency across disciplines has also been evident at successive World Championships in Novi Sad in 2024, underlining a career built on long-term presence at the highest international level. Completing the podium, Mikelanxhela Mullisi (ALB) continued a remarkable trajectory in Budapest, adding this bronze medal to her World Championship title in Modern & Contemporary Dance Adult, won just days earlier at the same event. Her performances across disciplines confirmed her growing authority on the world stage. Just outside the podium, Natalie Forsberg (SWE) and Jelena Mihajlovic (CRO) rounded out a strong final, contributing further depth and artistic quality to a category that highlighted both established careers and emerging forces within international Stage Dance.
