What A Night!

2013 GrandSlam Standard Moscow © Melnikova Those who have seen it unfold LIVE in front of their very eyes will certainly agree: this was a final that will go down in history. It had all the ingredients! Drama, epic and - probably most importantly - a decision that could not have been any more narrow. In the end, a winner had to be declared, but it had to be done with the most narrow margin imaginable.

All of 0.88 points separated the winners, Dmitry Zharkov - Olga Kulikova, from the runners-up, Sergei Konovaltsev - Olga Konovaltseva. Would the couples have kept on dancing, the outcome could have been different.

Unfortunately, we don't have access to our YouTube channel to bring you videos of the final from there to here, but we very much suggest that you call up DanceSport Total to take in some of the best Standard dancing.

Our (WDSF Communications) flight is departing Moscow at 09:00 tomorrow. It is 04:30 ... We'll be online again in about 12 hours. It was a privilege providing you with a front row seat to the action here at the Crocus Expo. The story is certainly not yet told. We have a huge backlog of videos, photos, etc. that still need to go up!
