Kiev by Night The 70 couples competing in the 2013 World Standard arrived in the Ukrainian capital today. They are assigned to two championship hotels that are located in close proximity of one another and within walking distance to the venue.

The WDSF Communications team was able to interview some of them right after the checked in.

The schedule for the World Standard foresees the start of the first round at 13:30 local time on Saturday 23 November.

And yes, some poetic licence was taken in selecting the photograph above. No snow to be seen anywhere, temperatures are above 0º C - but it has been raining all day.
