Day two at the 2016 Austrian Open is in progress since 9 a.m. The first rounds of an Open Senior II Standard and a World Open Latin were scheduled back to back, with approximately 100 entries in each competition. Participation seems to be somewhat lower than in previous years. A similar trend was already observed at the German Open in August. Without any doubt, the Russian situation contributes to this.
From last night and the first day here in Vienna, AUT, we have already provided you with coverage on the 2016 PD Super GrandPrix Standard (videos and photos). Here is the "Final Reel" of a competition that was very close to a replay of the last round in the PD World Championship in Aarhus, FRA. It is not entirely surprising that the runners-up there, Donatas Vezelis - Lina Chatkeviciute, LTU, made it to first here. In the first post-Emanuel-and-Tania-era competition!
