Absent Stars

Zoran Plohl and Tatsiana Lahvinovich, CRO Stars in front of a couple's names make the task at hand a lot easier. Depending on their number, they entitle the "star" couples to skip the first round (*) or the first two (**) rounds. Of those who would certainly have qualified for the full ** treatment, some decided/had to stay clear of Stuttgart this year!

Could it have to do with the upcoming World Latin in Singapore that ...

... Zoran Plohl and Tatsiana Lahvinovich, CRO, the current world # 1 in Latin, are not here? It would have been interesting the see them come back from the recent Grand Slam defeat in Chengdu, CHN.

... that the # 9 couple of the World Ranking Troels Bager and Ina Jeliazkova, DEN, did not make it to the GOC either?

... that the # 11 couple, Pavel Pasechnik and Francesca Berardi, who will most likely represent Italy in the Singapore World Latin, stayed home too.
