2013 GrandSlam Latin Moscow

GrandSlam Moscow © RDSU The fifth and final leg of the 2013 GrandSlam Series does have its particularities. It comes at the tail end  and climax of the Russian Open Championships - Sport Accord 2013 - with the Latin event that is in progress now and ends tomorrow, and with the Standard on Sunday.

The traditional ROC bring thousands of dancers to Moscow in October of every year, boasting record participation in virtually all its events. To illustrate: a national Standard competition for Juniors I and II drew a staggering 364 entries on Wednesday 23 October. 

Today's GrandSlam Latin is right up there too when it comes to participation: 316 couples have entered. First-round dancing has started at noon and is divided into 15 heat ... A live feed - courtesy of the Russian DanceSport Union - is available from the Crocus Expo, the DanceSport venue par exellence in the  Russian capital!
