How did you get in contact with DanceSport?

Thanks to my dear mother I started dancing very early, with 5 years. Competitive dancing I started at the age of 10.

What are the fascinations that keep you in DanceSport? 

Dancing is my life and for me stoping is not an option. 

What is your aim in DanceSport? 

To be a finalist of the World Ten Dance Championship in the near future.

Is there something in DanceSport today that worries you? 

It seems that something like in boxing is hapening, before there were only amateur league and professional league. Now they have 42 amateur leagues – too many World Champions. I sincerely hope this is not goinng to happen in DanceSport.

Do you have time to meet friends? 

Not much but for true friends I find some time.

What would you do if you have - unexpectedly -  a day off?

Sleep! And then go to the nearby seaside, driving the old national roads.

What kind of movie could motivate you to go to the cinema?

Any genre will do.

Imagine you are on a deserted island. What are the three things you would want to have with you, you cannot imagine to live without?

Food, water and a sailboat to get off the island and back home as fast as possible.

Do you have other talents that nobody knows so far?

I am very stubborn!

 What are you most proud of?   

I never give up.

Which of your dreams would you like most to come true?  

To be remembered as a high-quality, special allround dancer. World Ten Dance Champion in 2014.

If you meet a person you don't know, what do you look at first? 
The image she or he is bringing accross.

How do you cope with stress and bad moods?  Not so well.

And dance all your life! Two things Gabriela Pilic aspires to achieve.

How did you get in contact with DanceSport? I first started with jazz dancing as a child at the age of 7, later I saw Latin American and Standard dancing on TV, I liked it and decided I will try that. I started competing when I was 10 years old.

What are the fascinations that keep you in DanceSport? Dancing is simply part of me, it fulfils me as a person and I just can’t imagine my life without it.

What is your aim in DanceSport? To develop  the quality of my dancing as much as possible. In terms of results: to rank high in the Ten dance field over next few year.

Is there something in DanceSport today that worries you?  I don’t like that there are different federations in DanceSport, I think we are not that big sport to be divided.

Do you have time to meet friends? I don’t have much time at all, but I try to use every free moment to meet with them because they are a very important part of my life.

What would you do if you have - unexpectedly -  a day off?  It depends on the weather. But I would probably spend the whole day with my boyfriend because I usually don’t have much time for that. 

What kind of movie could motivate you to go to the cinema? I like all genres of movies except horror.

Do you have other talents that nobody knows so far? Whenever I try to do something else people tell me to stick to dancing, so the answer is no. But I make good cakes and not many people know that.

What are you most proud of?  I am actually proud of my life because I do what I like the most. Not many people get a chance to do that.

Which of your dreams would you like most to come true? To manage to stay in dancing for my whole life because I can’t imagine myself doing anything else. And to be happy, that is my biggest wish!

How do you cope with stress and bad moods? Actually well, I get depressed sometimes but not for long, I recover very fast.
