Mr Piet Rullens © Guy Simon

Prior to calling the 2011 General Meeting in Mamer, LUX, to order, IDSF President Carlos Freitag presented Mr Piet Rullens, NED, with the Long and Distinguished Service Award.

The eulogy was held by the IDSF President himself, who highlighted the meritorious services Rullens had rendered to the IDSF as a webmaster of the organisation's first website.

Dear Delegates

I am delighted to present the IDSF Long and Distinguished Service Award. This award has been created by IDSF to recognise outstanding services to IDSF and the development of DanceSport.

The inaugural award is being presented to Mr Piet Rullens on his retirement as IDSF webmaster. IDSF acknowledges Mr Rullens' contributions to the IDSF Internet Commission and management of the IDSF website for over ten years.

Over these many years we have found Mr Rullens to be professional, organised and committed to maintaining the IDSF presence on the Web. Mr Rullens has also been instrumental in facilitating the smooth transition to the new site.

May I ask all of you to confirm by acclamation the awarding of this Long and Distinguished Services Award to Mr Piet Rullens for his services to DanceSport.
