2015 European Masters Games I 02/10/2015

Les Farfadais @ Farfaidais The 2015 European Masters Games (EMG) got underway yesterday with the first competitions in some of the altogether 27 different sports - and with a spectacular Opening Ceremony on the Quai des États-Unis in Nice.

"Spirit of Sports," an array of spectacular performances by the local artists "Les Farfadais," was the mainstay of the ceremony. Unfortunately, the weather did not suit the occasion too well, with rain keeping most of the spectators away!

Two World Championships Senior II, five World Cups and three EMG events - one of them Boogie Woogie - will take place over the next three days, until Sunday 4 September. JUDSYS, the new judging system, will be used for the first time in Senior competition.

WDSF Communications will publish EMG information on this website and on Facebook as it becomes available. Results will hopefully be provided live by the scrutineer.
