DSFL 50th Anniversary Cup

Bascharage, Luxembourg, 25th – 26th September 2010

50th Anniversary The DanceSport Federation (DSFL) is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2010 and 2011. The celebrations started with the DSFL 50th Anniversary Cup, which was held in Bascharage on September 25th and 26th 2010.

This exceptional DanceSport festival brought together more than 300 couples from about 30 countries, as well as 19 adjudicators from 15 countries. For the International Open competitions, 13 adjudicators from 13 countries officiated. Both days were directed by Chairman Daniele Tondon from Italy.

The highlight of the weekend was undoubtedly the festive Gala Evening on Saturday, with international high-level Shows by the German artists Rebecca and Dos Toledos. About 600 spectators came to participate in the Gala Evening.

On Saturday, the winners of the different competition were as follows:

IDSF Senior II Open Standard: Heinz-Josef Bickers / Aurelia Bickers (Germany)
IDSF International Open Standard: Benedetto Ferruggia / Claudia Köhler (Germany)
IDSF Senior I Open Latin: Gwenaël Lavigne / Stéphanie Godet (France)
IDSF Professional Division Open Latin: Guy Rosen / Anastasija Gorbachenko (Luxembourg)

On Sunday, the winners of the different competition were as follows:

IDSF Senior I Open Standard: Andrea Rigon/Barbara Remondini (Italy)
IDSF Senior III Open Standard: Luca D’Andrea / Regina Scerrato (Italy)
IDSF International Open Latin: Gabriele Pasquale Goffredo / Francesca Tocca (Italy)
IDSF Senior II Open Latin: Nikolay Orlov / Tatiana Nikolaeva (Russian Federation)
IDSF Professional Division Open Standard: Paolo Bosco / Silvia Pitton (Italy)

The DSFL will continue to celebrate its 50th Anniversary in 2011 with two events that have never before taken place in Luxembourg: the World Championships IDSF Professional Division Latin, and the IDSF General Meeting.

The DSFL is looking forward to an exciting DanceSport year 2011!
