05/03/2024 read more ...That is good news because the first stage of the qualification process for Breaking at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games is about to get underway. Some of the National Member Bodies (NMB) have already been approached by their National Olympic Committee (NOC) about this process. This has already happened in Australia, Canada and a few other countries. A good part of the information on the innovative

was sent to them directly by the IOC.
Once first-stage qualifying is in progress, even more enquiries should reach the NMBs from either NOCs or the breaking community at large.
As WDSF gets ready to launch the platform where breaking videos can be submitted directly by b-boys/girls - from 1 May - more detailed information covering all aspects will be made available on breakingforgold.com and circulated to the NMBs. The "Stage One Rules" will be published this Friday 21 April.
WDSF asks its NMBs to ensure that they are familiar with the process and that they actively promote participation in "Stage One Qualifying" among breakers in their countries.
