The logo and the slogan of the inaugural games in Kaohsiung have been finalised after a few last-minute changes have been applied by their designers.
An entire team of designers at the Shu-Te University Visual Communication Department came up with a distinctive look that transmits the movement and artistry inherent in DanceSport. The dynamic logo takes up on the one that was designed for The World Games 2009 and that is in use as the city's brand ever since.
The slogan "Do Your Dance in Kaohsiung!" combines ancient Chinese caligraphy with modern Western handwriting and invites everyone to come to Kaohsiung and to move to music of his or her choice.
The designers were led by lecturer Ti-Wan Kung (photo, second from right). She and other representatives of the Shu-Te University presented the different elements that will make up the games' visual identity to the Kaohsiung City Government and to WDSF Communications on Thursday 14 March.
After minor changes to some of the elements were made, the logo and the slogan are officially rolled out.
