Goldstadtpokal 2010 01/02/2010

Silde - Firstova, RUS © Leonhardt On Saturday, 30th of January, the 49th “Goldstadtpokal” competition took place in Pforzheim, at the Parkhotel. This traditional event hosts an IDSF International Open Latin competition, a Youth Latin and an Amateur Standard Invitational Competition.

In the IDSF Latin 88 couples (including 12 “Stars”) provided DanceSport on highest level. Only a few couples out of the top ranked couples in the IDSF World Ranking List were missing.

After 2 qualifying rounds in the morning, a very interesting program including Youth Latin and various shows and demonstrations was presented to the audience in an afternoon session.

In the Gala evening ball event the audience appreciated the high level dancing in all the interesting finals.

In the Latin Alexei Silde and Anna Firstova, reigning World Champions, won all the five dances in a clear manner and took the very interesting trophy. After their dance of honour Alexei mentioned that this was their 8th competition in Pforzheim and he always liked to come back because of this great atmosphere and the hospitality of the organizers.
